Austin Web Design & Development - FAQ
What do I get when I purchase a template(Website Template, XHTML Template, CSS Template)?
Our standard temlates include:
1. Index.HTML- one HTML web page
2. Folder named "images" that contain the sliced template- The sliced png template
3. Main.CSS- Cascading Style Sheet for formatting styles.
4. Template.png
Other add-on options include: contact page, location page, photo gallery, slideshow and logo design. You would make these additions through custom ordering. If ONLY a template is purchased then the client is responsible for customizing the website- E.G. buttons, logos, hosting-.
How do I get my purchases after I pay for them?
The files are sent to your email address associated with your PayPal account upon receipt of payment.
How do I pay for my website ( XHTML Templates, CSS Templates, Flash Template)?
We use PayPal for our transactions making them secure and easy for everyone.
How do I name the website template's buttons etc?
This is called “customizing” the website, and this is a separate service we provide. If you want to complete this part on your own then you are not required to use our customizing services. However, we can set up a different package if you'd like.
What is the Custom Web Design?
Anything that changes the template as it is shown on the website is “customizing”. So, variations on the design, naming of pages and buttons, designing and adding logos and icons, etc. are all examples of things we do to customize a site for you.
If I return The Website Template, Can I get a refund?
All purchases are non-refundable. All the templates are as advertised, and the template you select for purchase will be the one sent to you.
Does my website come with a web address (Domain Name)?
No. The template is just a template, but if you want a web address, then we can provide you with one and have it hosted it for you.
Can I have any web address I want (Domain Name)?
If the address is not already taken then you can have it. For example, if you wanted google.com to be the name of your website then we would not be able to fulfill that request because the address is not available.
How do I make it so people can visit my website?
There are two things you need. First you have to have a web address- which is a domain name- and then you need someone to host it for you. This means that you rent space for the files that make up your website on their server and they provide internet connectivity. Some ecommerce websites or more complex sites with forums etc. may require more storage but for most personal websites and smaller businesses single page hosting is adequate.
